The Project

The Project

In the international business environment, but also at the local level in RCM, the debate on building a sustainable and green future is intense. In the EU, there are targeted initiatives such as the Integrated Product Policy and the European Green Deal for environmental protection and sustainable development. It is proposed to develop an environmental impact assessment tool for agri-food production, based on real-time data. The tool will be used to improve environmental performance, product certification, strategic planning, capital investment evaluation and contribute to achieving a more sustainable future nationally and internationally.

The Tool

The Tool

The sustainability characterization and certification tool for agri-food products effectively addresses the problems of existing systems, offering personalized results and taking into account real-time data at all levels of the supply chain. This innovative tool is expected to be ready for market release at the high technology readiness level (TRL) 9 after the end of the project. The tool offers significant advantages over existing technologies, promoting sustainability, and is aimed at farmers, agronomists, consumers and businesses in the agri-food sector. The main objective of the innovation investment plan is to strengthen agricultural activity through the use of advanced technology, promoting productivity and entrepreneurship, while offering opportunities for sustainable development and improvement of agri-food products.
